Michael O’Brien founded MOB Medical after working with several surgery centers, some independent practices, and dental offices that needed assistance in sourcing equipment. Michael expedited requests on their behalf and was able to turn those inquiries into quotes within a matter of days. Focused on delivering a high-quality customer experience and following the golden rule along the way has boded well for Michael. One of the eye-opening moments that spurred the formation of this company was when multiple clients shared that without the assistance provided, they would not have been able to meet budget or open on time.

Our Story
Working in healthcare since 2012, Michael has always had a knack for making a difference, whether it’s improving the cost & quality of care in the community, making healthcare more affordable, increasing access to care, or reusing and recycling equipment. Now, after several years of thoughtful consideration and helping grow other businesses, he has launched MOB Medical with the goal of streamlining the acquisition process on behalf of providers to create greater efficiency and identify real cost savings opportunities. He hopes to have the opportunity to assist you and your team whether you are needing a single item or building a new facility.
Outside of running MOB Medical, Michael continues to serve as a member of the Tennessee Air National Guard and has done so since 2014. One of his proudest moments in the military was when his grandfather, who swore in his father, was able to administer the Federal Oath of Office at his commissioning. Michael also currently serves on the Board of Directors at The University Club of Chicago, where he is an active member and mediocre squash player. Most importantly and the reason for all the hard work, Michael has a wife that holds everything together, and two growing boys that push him each and every single day to be a good example and be present.
